Construction Project Manager (Contract)

Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced construction and program delivery professional to join a dynamic team based in San Antonio, supporting large-scale campus and metro-based infrastructure projects. This is a critical onsite role responsible for driving project delivery through data-driven decision-making, technical oversight, and rigorous safety and compliance leadership. The position operates in partnership with local teams and stakeholders, maintaining alignment across Safety, Security, Quality, Schedule, and Cost priorities throughout the full project lifecycle. This is a 6-month contract engagement with strong potential for extension, offering a competitive monthly rate.
Job Responsibilities:
Facilitate delivery of campus and metro-based construction projects through timely, data-driven decision-making in partnership with local teams and stakeholders
Coordinate projects by developing detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities
Review engineering documentation, designs, and site plans to identify gaps and risks, and provide recommendations that improve constructability while adhering to security core priorities and standards
Represent the organization as a safety advocate by establishing risk mitigation metrics, supporting national safety goals, and ensuring regulatory compliance including OSHA requirements
Conduct safety and compliance audits and contribute to incident investigations as required
Assist in tracking and reporting project progress across scope, schedule, standards, and budget, synthesizing complex data into clear updates for delivery and executive audiences
Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients and stakeholders
Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates
Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate staff, and oversee the development and maintenance of team competence
Requirements:
10+ years of large-scale construction and project management experience, preferably including datacenter projects
5+ years leading multi-building or campus-scale construction programs
5+ years of demonstrated progression in leadership responsibility across large technical programs
10+ years of experience with construction contract administration and quality and safety management
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field required
PMI or PMP certification preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to executive audiences
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and lead cross-functional teams
Knowledge of construction contract administration, quality control, and safety management practices
Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks including OSHA standards
Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
Proficiency with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Bluebeam, and P6 (Primavera) preferred

Pay Range*: $82.50 - $93.50 per hour
Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
