Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Monitor or test systems and integration functions. Improve service availability, latency, scalability, performance, and efficiency of Microsoft technologies. Streamline production state, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning. Apply a holistic approach across user and server dependencies to optimize functionality of Microsoft services. Identify and deliver software improvements that drive deployment, minimize customer escalations, and establish best practices. May develop code, scripts, systems, or tools that reduce operational burden by automating complex and repetitive tasks, enable product engineering teams to increase the velocity at which they can safely deploy changes to production, and monitor the effects of changes across systems, services, or products. Education: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 24 months of experience in a related occupation. Must have 24 months of experience in each of the following: building solutions and platforms using Java programming, scripting, Spring frameworks, API development, and AWS services; Web Services; and coordinating program development of computer software applications, systems, and services from design through product release.Multiple job openings. Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position ODP10025255305549, in Redmond,WA, is $138,154.00 to $168,154.00 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depend on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional reward, including merits increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employer’s role.
