Design, develop, modify, or evaluate electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, or systems related to Microsoft technologies. Collaborate with cross functional teams to determine the selection, application, and testing of electronic components and systems. Design or plan protocols for equipment or processes to produce Microsoft technologies that meet internal and external purity, safety, and quality requirements, as well as and any applicable regulatory reliability objectives. Recommend test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Communicate status updates and progress on testing and reliability qualification via dashboards and reports that document testing results and quality metrics. Characterize customer use scenarios based on research, telemetry, field data, and other available data, and develops new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to ensure early identification of new product reliability. Recommend changes in designs or the selection and application of components and systems based on root cause and failure modes analyses.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Master’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Digital Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Completion of one graduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following: Mechanical CAD; Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA); Product Design; Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Abaqus FEA; Design for Manufacturing (DFM); Statistics; and Structural Mechanics.

Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position (ODP10025237265841), in Redmond, WA, is $132,000.00 - $162,000.00 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depend on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional reward, including merits increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employer’s role.
