Overview

We are hiring for a Senior Principal Product Manager with a proven track record of building AI-driven, scalable advertising products that deliver measurable ROI for advertisers while ensuring the right level of targeting and controls to meet advertiser needs.

In this role you will own the vision, strategy and roadmap for Microsoft Advertising’s Smart Bidding products. You will partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, UX, Product Marketing, Legal, and Finance to design solutions that aim to maximize advertiser value.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities:

  • Deep AI/ML expertise with a proven ability to integrate AI-first thinking into strategy.
  • Strong technical background (APIs, infrastructure, AI modeling).
  • Track record of defining product vision that drives significant business impact.
  • Expert stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with OKR/KPI definition and tracking experience.
  • Go-to-market planning and product launch experience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10 years experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12 years experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4 years' experience developing digital advertising products

Product Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $165,600.00 - $296,400.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800.00 - $331,200.00 per year.
