MRO Buyer (Maintenance, Repair & Operations)
Location: Troy, Ohio
Position Overview
An MRO Buyer manages the procurement of maintenance, repair, and operations supplies essential to facility and machine uptime. This role ensures timely, cost-effective procurement, strategic supplier relationships, and strong collaboration across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and execute procurement of MRO items, services, and spare parts to meet operational needs.
- Review requisitions, generate RFQs, negotiate pricing, and manage contracts with suppliers.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance—delivery times, quality levels, cost trends—and maintain vendor relationships.
- Create and process purchase orders, schedule expedites, and track order status to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to align procurement activities with project and operational strategies.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels—optimizing stock for efficiency and cost control.
- Leverage ERP or MRP systems to manage procurement data, monitor KPIs, and produce purchase and inventory reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- (Preferred) Professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPIM, or equivalent.
Experience
- 3–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience. Preference for experience in MRO, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
- Demonstrated negotiation success and delivering cost savings.
- Proficiency using ERP/MRP systems for purchasing and inventory control.

- Excellent organizational time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.

$50K - $60K depending on experience
