Position: Digital Product Specialist

Reports To: Global Digital Communication Lead

Dotted Line: Medical Strategy and Communications Lead (Office of the Chief Medical Officer)

Location: Irvine, CA

Overview

The Digital Product Specialist, reporting to the Global Digital Communication Lead and dotted line to the Medical Strategy and Communications Lead, will serve as a key steward of MicroPort’s global digital identity. This role leads the modernization, governance, and long-term maintenance of MicroPort’s corporate website ecosystem, starting with the complete overhaul of the global website. It ensures that all digital and professional media channels consistently represent the company’s unified brand, scientific excellence, and medical credibility.

Working cross-functionally with Corporate Global Branding, IT, marketing, and clinical/medical teams, the Digital Product Specialist will drive the revamp and relaunch of MicroPort’s global website, establish enduring digital standards, and be a member of the Global Branding Committee.

While this is an individual contributor role, it carries significant strategic visibility and influence across global functions, offering a growth pathway toward senior digital or brand leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Product Ownership (60%)

  • Lead the redesign and launch of MicroPort’s global corporate website in coordination with external vendors and other internal stakeholders.
  • Define and maintain the website roadmap, including functionality, user experience, and performance targets.
  • Develop, document and enforce digital governance guidelines, including accessibility, data privacy, and localization (GDPR, regional cybersecurity laws, etc.).
  • Ensure sustainable workstreams, such as version control, update workflows, and vendor documentation, to prevent future obsolescence.
  • Establish and monitor digital KPIs (traffic, SEO, engagement) and deliver regular performance reports.
  • In collaboration with the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, drive the digital translation of medical affairs initiatives into compelling online narratives in both web-ready written and video format for scientific updates, clinical trials, medical education, and congress highlights.

Global Brand Integration and Representation (30%)

  • Serve as a member of the Global Branding Committee, ensuring digital and visual alignment with MicroPort’s global identity.
  • Coordinate cross-platform standards for website, LinkedIn, and other digital presences, ensuring consistent tone, visuals, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Branding to determine overall brand architecture, naming conventions, and other cross functional initiatives across subsidiaries.

Cross-functional Coordination and Support (10%)

  • Maintain and curate brand-aligned digital assets, templates, and documentation repositories.
  • Conduct regular audits of MicroPort’s online presence to identify updates, inconsistencies, or optimization opportunities.
  • Provide copyediting review for various materials to support cross functional colleagues

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in digital product management, web operations, or UX/communications roles.
  • Proven experience overseeing website rebuilds or large-scale digital projects.
  • Solid understanding of CMS workflows, SEO, accessibility, analytics, and user experience best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills to coordinate complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple global internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to occasionally have meetings with overseas colleagues outside 9am – 5pm.


Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, medical device, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with enterprise CMS platforms and version-controlled design systems.
  • Knowledge of multi-language web architecture and digital compliance in China, EU, and US markets.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English.
