- Technical knowledge of the processes and equipment with 3-5 years related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High school or equivalent diploma is required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
- Ability to calculate angles, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Welding experience
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Goal oriented and team focused to ensure completion of projects in a timely manner.
- Operation of power tools, other hand tools
- Ability to understand prints and drawings
- Be able to read, interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to interpret and use effectively patterns, templates, rulers and squares.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Machinist/Fabricator is responsible for ensuring that the finished product conforms to the instructions provided in the work order. Job duties, responsibilities, and physical requirements are subject to change at any time and are not considered all inclusive.
· Material preparation, use of band saw, table saw, to prepare plastic, and metal
· Adheres to all quality and safety standards Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned.
· Read blueprints to complete components
· Forklift operation
· Observe operations to detect any faults or defects
· Overhead crane operation
· Notify supervisors of any problems or discrepancies during the process
· Assemble components as specified in the work order
· Ensure that the finished product conforms to the instructions provided in the work order
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
