Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality Linux compute support for engineering design teams
- Provide technical direction and escalation for technologies in the Linux compute space
- Automate system builds, configuration management, and operational tasks
- Provision physical and virtual systems and maintain hardware as needed
- Monitor and improve the overall health, performance, and reliability of Unix/Linux environments
- 3–5 years managing enterprise RedHat Linux environments (RHEL 8/9 preferred)
- Strong scripting ability in Shell, Python, or similar languages
- Experience with LDAP and VMware virtualization
- Hands‑on hardware maintenance experience and ability to lift 50 lbs
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with cloud‑hosted Linux servers
- Knowledge of Kickstart and configuration management tools (Puppet preferred)
- Experience with FlexLm license management or revision control systems
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and a strong focus on continuous improvement
- Project management experience
