This Facilities Electrical Engineer role is essential to the success of Micron’s new pioneering technology development fab. You’ll contribute across the full lifecycle—from design and construction through commissioning and ongoing operations—while ensuring our electrical systems are safe, reliable, and efficient. It’s a hands-on role with real impact and strong visibility across the site.

This Facilities Electrical Engineer role is essential to the success of Micron’s new pioneering technology development fab. You’ll contribute across the full lifecycle—from design and construction through commissioning and ongoing operations—while ensuring our electrical systems are safe, reliable, and efficient. It’s a hands-on role with real impact and strong visibility across the site.
Responsibilities
- Design and support installation of high- and medium-voltage electrical systems for semiconductor manufacturing facilities
- Provide engineering support for facility and equipment layout changes, including tool installations and R&D applications
- Inspect construction and installation work to ensure conformance to drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Solve electrical system issues and support sustaining operations and continuous improvement efforts
- Develop user documentation, cost estimates, and performance specifications to meet operational and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field
- 3 years of experience as a facilities or electrical engineer in an industrial environment
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as OSHA, NFPA, and UL
- Experience with electrical system analysis tools such as SKM, EasyPower, or ETAP
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Revit or Navisworks
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 3 years of electrical facilities design or operations experience in the semiconductor industry
- Experience with energy management systems and sustainability initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience supporting construction bids, contracts, and cost estimating
