Micron is looking for a motivated Business Student Co‑op to join our team within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is perfect for a student studying Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field who enjoys data analysis, process improvement, and leveraging technology to solve problems.
You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting key business operations, developing automated systems, and using AI tools to enhance efficiency and decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational and financial data to support business decisions
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated tracking tools using Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts, macros a plus)
- Use AI tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot, automation platforms, etc.) to streamline workflows and solve business challenges
- Support process improvement initiatives across manufacturing, quality, and operations
- Assist with cost analysis, KPI tracking, and performance reporting
- Prepare presentations and summaries to communicate findings to leadership
- Participate in meetings across multiple departments to understand how a manufacturing business operates
Required Qualifications
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or similar
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts and macros)
- Experience using AI or automation tools to analyze data or optimize workflows
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
- High attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Must be able to work on-site in Fitchburg, Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Preferred Qualifications
- Students with a finance background or strong financial coursework are strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, or other automation/data tools
- Interest in manufacturing, operations, or process improvement
