Position Summary
The Technical Service Coordinator is responsible for supporting the endoscope repair workflow from intake through final quality release. This role ensures efficient processing of customer repairs, accurate parts procurement, and high standards of quality control. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a technical service environment with direct customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Incoming Inspection & Intake
- Perform incoming quality inspections on flexible endoscopes and related equipment
- Document device condition, identify visible damage, and verify reported issues
- Log and track all incoming units in the service management system
- Communicate initial findings to internal teams and customers as needed
- Occasionally help receive scopes
Parts Ordering & Inventory Coordination
- Identify required components based on inspection findings and technician input
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery and minimize repair delays
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock level monitoring
Customer Service & Communication
- Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding repair status and estimates
- Provide clear, timely updates on repair progress, approvals, and completion timelines
- Prepare and deliver repair quotes and service documentation
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally
Outgoing Quality Control
- Perform final inspection of repaired endoscopes prior to return shipment
- Verify repairs meet internal quality standards and customer requirements
- Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and packaging of completed units
- Occasionally coordinate shipping and confirm accurate return logistics
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experience in a technical, biomedical, or service-related field
- Prior experience with medical device repair, endoscopy, or technical service coordination preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and service/ERP software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
