Role Description
This is a contract, for May 19th, 2026, as an on-site role for an Installation Team Member based in Washington, DC. The Installation Team Member will be responsible for assembling and installing urban farming systems, including setting up structures, planting, and maintaining gardens. Additional responsibilities include working with team members to ensure timely and quality installations and addressing any issues during implementation. The role may also involve communicating with clients on-site and ensuring their satisfaction with completed projects.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with gardening, urban farming, or sustainable agriculture
- Experience with basic construction, installation techniques, or manual labor tasks
- Ability to work outdoors and lift moderate to heavy loads
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills for on-site interaction with team members
- Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure timely project completion
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about sustainability, urban ecosystems, and green initiatives
- Flexibility to adhere to various weather conditions and adjust tasks as needed
- Previous experience with urban farming or community development is a plus
- Access to transportation within the Washington, DC area
