Job Description: As a member of Microchip’s engineering community, your primary responsibility will be to assist and develop code to generate floorplans and netlists for state-of-the-art FPGA devices. Responsibilities: Ability to write Python code, module based Utilize hierarchical systems-level design techniques to build designs exceeding multi-million gates Must be a self-motivated team player who can collaborate with multiple teams across a geographically diverse company to achieve desired design goals Requirements/Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Bachelors/Master’s in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science with 0 - 2 years of industry experience Proficiency in scripting languages (TCL / Perl / Python) and Linux Participate in the investigation & assessment of legacy and emerging integration techniques and on-chip / off-chip network-on-chip (NOC) bus structures for both control and high-speed data paths Participate in the Verilog implementation and integration of chip capabilities, including interface support, and documentation support at the chip level Support porting the design into test chips and emulation platforms Understanding of data structures and encapsulated software design Ability to write detailed design specifications Good analytical, oral, and written communication skills Able to write clean, readable presentations Self-motivated, proactive team player Ability to work to schedule requirements Preferred Requirements: Python coding Experience with source code management systems (ClearCase, Git, SVN, Perforce) Familiarity/knowledge/experience with any of the following would be a plus: FPGA architectures, Qt, AI-based applications Travel Time: 0% - 25% Physical Attributes: Feeling, Handling, Hearing, Other, Seeing, Works Around Others Physical Requirements: 70% sitting, 15% standing and 15% walking Pay Range: The expected base salary range for this position, if filled in California, is $80,000 to $110,000, dependent on specific skills and work experience. We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments.
