Job Description

• Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Manage daily transportation activities, including scheduling, routing, and tracking shipments (domestic and international).
• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to negotiate rates and resolve service issues.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and freight invoices.
• Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to optimize logistics operations.
• Address and resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory movements, and carrier performance metrics.
• Support implementation of logistics software and digital tracking tools.
  
  

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or traffic coordination.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with international shipping and documentation is a plus
• Analytical thinking and process improvement

Benefits of working at Microchip

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in Massachusetts, is $36,000-$128,000.*
