We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Strategic Business Development – Clinical Diagnostics to play a key role in advancing strategic growth initiatives and complex customer partnerships across our global clinical diagnostics portfolio. To Be Considered for This Position, Candidates Must Have the Following Qualifications:
- Education: Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, or a related life sciences field
- Experience: 7–12 years of experience in business development, strategic sales, product management, technical applications, or related commercial-scientific roles
- Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities in life sciences or diagnostics markets
- Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics workflows, including qPCR, NGS, assay development, or related technologies
- Ability to translate technical concepts into commercially viable customer solutions
- Experience supporting global accounts, strategic partnerships, or international markets preferred

- Lead high-visibility global opportunities that influence business growth and strategic direction
- Shape complex technical-commercial solutions in partnership with customers and internal stakeholders
- Drive alignment across Commercial, R&D, Operations, Quality, and Product teams to accelerate execution
- Influence portfolio strategy through voice-of-customer insights and market intelligence
- Help strengthen scalable processes and frameworks that improve opportunity development and deal execution
What You’ll Do
Strategic Opportunity Leadership
- Lead development and advancement of complex, high-value opportunities, including custom solutions, contract manufacturing, and strategic partnerships
- Partner closely with Business Development teams to accelerate late-stage opportunities and improve conversion rates
- Support selected global strategic accounts aligned with organizational growth priorities
- Lead technical discovery discussions and develop customer-focused solution frameworks
- Translate customer requirements into Statements of Work (SOWs), Customer Requirements Documents (CRDs), and commercial solution strategies
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Quality teams to validate technical feasibility, timelines, and delivery expectations
- Build trusted relationships with scientific, technical, and commercial stakeholders across global customer accounts
- Serve as a key liaison between Commercial, R&D, Operations, Quality, and Product teams for strategic opportunities
- Contribute customer and market insights that help shape product strategy and portfolio priorities
- Support Business Development and Marketing teams through technical training, customer-facing content, and solution expertise
- Contribute to development of technical collateral, case studies, and strategic customer materials
- Maintain visibility of strategic opportunities within CRM systems and support forecasting and reporting activities
