Position Overview: Injection Molding
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and production machinery to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. This position works closely with the Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager, and production teams to support a safe, reliable, and productive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
- Maintain and repair injection molding machines, automated assembly equipment, and packaging machinery.
- Troubleshoot electrical control systems, relay logic, PLCs, and electrical enclosures.
- Perform general facility maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Maintain material drying systems and related equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair production equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all electrical safety standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement (LEAN) initiatives to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment upgrades and improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience repairing injection molding equipment in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, relay logic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and electrical components.
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Trade school, technical certification, or related degree.
- Experience with Nissei or similar injection molding machines.
- Experience with material drying systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment.
