Shipping & Receiving Associate
We are a leading manufacturer of flexographic and gravure printing inks and coatings serving the packaging and printing industry. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely shipments while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and coordinate daily shipping, receiving, and material stocking activities within the warehouse.
- Accurately track all inbound and outbound shipments, including materials, products, and supplies.
- Unload incoming trucks promptly; inspect, sort, and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outbound shipments by picking materials, palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and generating shipping documentation.
- Coordinate truck loading activities, ensuring all paperwork is complete, signed, and properly filed.
- Communicate with carriers and dispatchers to schedule pickups and ensure timely deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with hazardous materials (HAZMAT) regulations, including proper labeling, documentation, and placarding in coordination with EHS leadership.
- Maintain accurate inventory through daily transactions, scanning, and cycle counting.
- Partner with the Logistics Manager to execute daily shipping schedules and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including general housekeeping and operation of floor-cleaning equipment.
- Interact professionally with drivers, vendors, and internal teams to support efficient operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment; forklift certification (or willingness to obtain/renew certification).
- Familiarity with inventory systems, RF scanners, or ERP systems preferred.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and document processing.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Knowledge of standard warehouse processes including receiving, stocking, picking, and staging.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Work Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (overtime may be required)
- Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Forklift Certification preferred:
- Class I (Sit-Down Electric)
- Class II (Stand-Up Narrow Aisle)
