Job Title: Pyrometry Calibration TechnicianLocation: Cypress, CA (Full-time, Monday-Friday) Servicing Southern CaliforniaPay: $23-33/hourPosition Overview:We are looking for a Pyrometry Calibration Technician to perform Instrument Calibration, Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS), and System Accuracy Tests (SAT) at customer sites. This role requires AMS2750 expertise and strong customer service skills in industrial environments.Responsibilities:Calibrate thermocouples, furnace/oven controllers, recorders, data loggers, SAT instruments, and pressure/vacuum gauges.Perform TUS, SAT, and instrument calibrations per industry standards.Implement AMS2750 and aerospace pyrometry specifications.Prepare thermocouples, wire survey racks, and install process sensors.Apply correction factors and troubleshoot furnace control systems.Generate accurate calibration reports and certificates.Ensure compliance with NIST traceability, ISO/IEC 17025, and ANSI/NCSL Z540 standards.Requirements and Skills:Calibration training required; PMEL/TMDE/DOD training preferred.Experience with ISO 17025 and precision measurement equipment.Strong customer service and computer skills.Valid CA Driver’s License, vehicle, and insurance (mileage reimbursed).Additional Information & BenefitsTravel: 20-80 miles within Southern California (mileage reimbursed).Phone Reimbursement: $50/month.Performance Bonuses: Up to $1,000/year for perfect reports.Comprehensive Benefits Package: 401(k) with 4% match, Health, Vision, Dental, Life insurance, PTO, Referral program, and more!Join a dynamic team delivering top-tier pyrometry services in a supportive, inclusive environment.We are an Equal Opportunity EmployerCompany DescriptionMicro Quality Calibration (MQC), established in 1978, is a leading A2LA ISO/IEC 17025-2017 Accredited Metrology lab specializing in calibration, repair, testing, and sales of precision measurement instruments.
