Job Title: Calibration Technician
Location: Cypress, CA (Servicing Southern California)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Pay: $20-33/hour (depending on experience and position)

Position Overview:
We are currently hiring for two Calibration Technician positions: Mechanical Calibration Technician and Pyrometry Calibration Technician. Candidates will perform calibration services for our customers. The ideal candidate will have calibration experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate standards and generate accurate calibration reports and certificates.
- Ensure compliance with NIST traceability, ISO/IEC 17025, and ANSI/NCSL Z540 standards.
- Maintain a safe work environment and assist with troubleshooting calibration equipment as needed.
- Work independently while maintaining high quality and customer service standards.
- Follow established procedures and industry requirements to ensure accurate results.
Mechanical
- Calibrate calipers, micrometers, gauges, thread rings/plugs, roughness testers, and related.
Pyrometry
- Calibrate thermocouples, furnace/oven controllers, recorders, data loggers, SAT instruments, pressure/vacuum gauges, and related.
- Perform Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS), System Accuracy Tests (SAT), and instrument calibrations per industry standards.
- Implement AMS2750 and aerospace pyrometry specifications.
- Prepare thermocouples, wire survey racks, and install process sensors.
- Apply correction factors and troubleshoot furnace control systems.
- Pyrometry position requires local travel throughout Southern California (mileage reimbursed).
Requirements and Skills:
- Must have proven Calibration experience
- Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training and familiarity with ISO 17025 standards preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for potential onsite customer visits
- Valid driver’s license, clean record, and U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.
