JOB SUMMARY:
Evaluate production parts per customer specifications / guidelines (dimensional and visual) to ensure part quality. Complete final audit inspections and properly document status of products.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

- Accurately measures Quality Inspection Plan (QIP) dimensions using various metrology equipment and techniques to complete all required documentation.
- Audits production parts from all injection molding machines for visual defects as they are being produced, as well as already packaged production parts.
- Completes final audit and approval of packaged parts.
- Notes any discrepancies or notes from the production run on the DPR (Daily Production Report).
- Follows nonconforming procedure when defective product is found.
- Adheres to company implemented policies and procedures with respect to job role.
- Performs visual inspection for molding defects per QIP and Visual Defect Guidelines.
- Complete startup, SPC, and shut-down visual and dimensional inspection and document appropriately.
- Effectively communicates quality issues to Quality Supervisor
- Provides defect analysis and photographs to Senior Quality Supervisor to update & maintain Visual Defect Guidelines (VDG) to communicate part defects.
- Initiates/Updates PNR (Product Nonconformance Report) and/or other containment actions as necessary.
- Maintains sample retain cabinets and files all corresponding Quality documentation.
- Takes part in dimensional studies or Gage R&R’s as directed by Quality Engineer or Technician.
- Other duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor.

- Is willing to work on any shift, as required (including overtime coverage)
