Press Brake Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating press brake machinery and a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes. This role is essential in ensuring that components are produced accurately and efficiently, meeting the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to determine the necessary operations.
• Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in fabrication.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate with team members to fabricate parts using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment and plasma cutting techniques.
• Assist in welding tasks as needed to complete assemblies.
• Safely operate cranes for moving heavy materials within the work area.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and techniques.
• Familiarity with GD&T principles is preferred.
• Proficient in using hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices.
• Experience with CNC machinery and plasma cutting is a plus.
• Basic welding skills are desirable but not mandatory.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.80 - $29.70 per hour
