Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor who is skilled in CNC Machines to oversee our 1st shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing supply chain activities.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise operators, assign work, coach employees, and manage daily performance to meet production goals.
Production Management: Schedule tasks, manage workflow, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of orders.
Safety & Quality: Enforce safety rules, ensure adherence to quality standards (like GMPs), and maintain an "audit-ready" environment.
Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve issues with equipment, processes, or materials during the shift, often acting as the first responder for incidents
Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and collaborate on implementing better methods, often using Lean or Six Sigma principles.
Reporting & Communication: Report shift performance, challenges, and metrics to upper management and coordinate with other departments (Maintenance, QA, etc.).
Training & Development: Ensure staff are properly trained on SOPs, safety, and new processes, and support their career growth.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in supervising within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
