What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Manager position at MiconeStaffing?
Senior Project Manager
Lead Complex Projects for a Growing Reno Division
Reno, NV | Full-Time | $160,000 – $220,000 (DOE)
The Opportunity
Joining a growing division of an established powerhouse is the sweet spot: real autonomy and visibility, with serious resources behind you. Our client — a premier design-build general contractor with 350 employees and decades of landmark Silicon Valley commercial work — is expanding in Reno and hiring a Senior Project Manager to own their most complex projects and help anchor the division’s growth. With in-house design and self-perform capabilities, their PMs run genuinely integrated projects: fewer handoffs, faster decisions, better buildings. The culture is flat and fluid — you get the projects that fit your strengths and the trust to run them, plus a seat at the table as the operation scales.
Why You’ll Love It
- Integrated delivery: Design, precon, and self-perform under one roof — manage the project, not the finger-pointing
- Division-level impact: Help shape and scale a growing Reno operation, with a clear runway into senior leadership
- Real autonomy: A horizontal organization that trusts its senior PMs to decide
- Nevada advantage: No state income tax, Reno-Tahoe on your doorstep
What You’ll Do
- Lead the division’s largest and most complex commercial projects end to end — budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client relationships
- Own project financials at a portfolio level: forecasts, cost reports, billings, and change management across multiple jobs
- Manage subcontractor buyout, contracts, and performance; direct self-perform scopes
- Drive schedules with superintendents and design teams from precon through turnover
- Lead OAC meetings and own executive-level client and architect relationships
- Partner with in-house designers on design-build coordination and constructability
- Mentor and develop PMs, PEs, and APMs; help build the division’s project management bench as it grows
- Contribute to pursuits, preconstruction strategy, and go/no-go decisions
- Identify and mitigate risk across the project lifecycle, setting the standard for how the division delivers
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, or related — or equivalent experience
- 8 years of commercial construction PM experience with a general contractor, including full ownership of large or complex projects
- Strong ground-up and/or major TI experience; design-build a significant plus
- Command of contracts, cost control, scheduling, and change management
- Proven ability to mentor project teams and lead through influence
- Proficiency in Procore (or similar), Bluebeam, and MS Office
- Strong client-facing presence and a collaborative, ego-free style
