Department: Provost & Sr. VP for Academic Affairs
o Develop and coordinate mentoring information sessions at new faculty orientation.
o Develop, promote, and facilitate faculty mentoring and mentor development programs.
o Identify and invite senior faculty members to serve as mentors.
o Provide support to faculty mentoring committees.
o Develop and implement assessments of mentoring activities in support of continual improvement.
2. Collaborate with the Assistant Provost for Faculty Development on other faculty development initiatives.
3. Other duties as assigned

5. Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work.
- PhD or equivalent level of experience
- Faculty member at the associate level or higher at Michigan Tech.
- Experience working on external grants or contracts.
- Experience publishing in academic venues.
- Experience with instructional innovation at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Experience managing budgets and staff.
- Experience supervising graduate students.
- Commitment to support and promote career success for faculty at all career stages.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people from different backgrounds and academic disciplines.
- Demonstrated excellence in organization and logistics management.
- Willingness and ability to function in different roles as part of team.

- Prior experience as an academic administrator.
- Prior experience planning and delivering professional development activities.
