Michigan Sugar Company has an immediate, full-time opportunity for a XXXX, located at the Toledo Warehouse, 3332 St. Lawrence Drive, Toledo, OH 43605.
JOB SUMMARY
The Sugar Specialist will be able to operate the liquid, granulated, and packaging loading/unloading operations. All operations must be performed in accordance with food safety and quality standards as well as Michigan Sugar Company safety practices and procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operate on site equipment, as needed, to achieve business needs
- Accurately and completely fill out necessary documentation for the operation being performed.
- Utilize computer programs effectively and enter appropriate data, as needed.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and abide by all food safety and quality standards.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, reporting any issues that may arise.
- Assist in inventory control and organization.
- Perform daily tasks indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions.
- Assist in product sampling and analysis to verify product meets customer requirements.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma and previous experience in a production environment
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication.
- Physically able to lift up to 50lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software/programs
- Excellent ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities.
