Position Summary
The Facilities Coordinator manages and oversees building operations and services for assigned interdisciplinary research university buildings with specialized facility coordination needs. The Facilities Coordinator works as part of a facilities team within ISPM. The ISPM Facilities team is integral to ensuring research activity in these buildings is supported by maintaining consistent building operation; anticipating and coordinating plans for resolution of space and facility needs; developing relationships with building occupants, university support unit partners, and vendors; and ensuring that ISPM and University policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Facilities Management, Business Management, or Science; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in facilities and building operations management, including building management systems; experience with financial management including budgeting and accounting; experience in managing scientific laboratories and buildings or a facility related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Possess and demonstrate good communication skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with people at all levels of the institution; ability to be versatile and able to quickly resolve problems of various degrees and natures; self-starter with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including sound judgment; a team player.
