What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift (C2) - Part-Time Custodian position at Michigan State University?

Part-Time Custodian

Monday-Friday: 10:30 pm - 2:30 am | 20 hours a week.

Duties

Removing Trash.
Dusting.
Vacuuming.
Mopping.
Disinfecting restrooms.
These positions will perform cleaning and maintenance activities; understands and gives verbal or written instructions.
Reads chemical, biological, or radioactive warning signs.
Removes snow with a shovel or snow blower.
Retains training information required for custodial methods, equipment, and products.
Works with student employees and communicates and interacts with the University community.
Serves as a liaison with the Department of Public Safety.
Maintains product inventory.
Makes independent decisions to accomplish acceptable cleaning standards using appropriate methods, products, and equipment.
This position will engage in high-performing, leading-edge practices, valuing people, partners, and stewardship.
