What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at MICHIGAN STAFFING?
Michigan Staffing is working with their client in Plymouth that specializes in value-added assembly services within a Class 1K cleanroom, featuring temperature/humidity control, ESD safeguards, barcode/testing capabilities, and touchscreen integration. We are currently recruiting for experienced assembler associate.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Pay: $17.00/HR. Weekly Pay
What You'll Do
- Assemble precision electronic/mechanical components (e.g., touchscreens, display modules, sensors), guided by engineered blueprints and SOPs.
- Set up production runs, perform quick changeovers, and handle build‑to‑print turnkey projects.
- Maintain cleanroom standards: adhere to ESD, temperature/humidity, and 5S protocols.
- Conduct in‑process inspections and functional testing—barcode/serialization included.
- Troubleshoot minor issues and report quality or productivity deviations.
- Record detailed documentation (production logs, test results, QC reporting).
Conditions & Equipment
- Work in a Class 1K cleanroom with tight environmental control (temp, humidity, ESD)
- Utilize hand tools, torque guns, assembly fixtures, and testing equipment.
- Manage delicate components—fine motor skills essential, along with occasional lifting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- MUST have great attention to detail.
- Experience in a cleanroom or precision assembly environment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and ability to follow SOPs.
- Familiarity with ESD handling and cleanroom behavior.
- (Preferred) Experience in electronics, optics, or semiconductor assembly.
