Michigan Rehab Consultant, PC — Eastpointe, MI
About the Role
Michigan Rehab Consultant, PC is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to join our outpatient pain management clinic in Eastpointe, Michigan. This is a 1099 contractor position, starting one day per week with room to grow as patient volume increases.
Because credentialing with insurance carriers typically takes time, the anticipated start date is approximately 60 days after signing on.
This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys a collaborative, patient-focused environment and wants to work directly alongside a physiatrist in a pain management setting. Our practice emphasizes evidence-based, functional rehabilitation for chronic pain conditions — especially low back pain, post-surgical pain, and musculoskeletal injuries that impact daily life and mobility.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders in an outpatient setting.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans targeting pain reduction, mobility restoration, and improved quality of life.
- Collaborate closely with the physiatrist to align therapy goals and track patient progress.
- Educate patients on posture, home exercises, body mechanics, and long-term self-management strategies.
- Document care thoroughly and accurately within the EMR system.
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Michigan (required).
- Minimum one year of outpatient orthopedic or pain management experience preferred.
- Strong clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills.
- Interest or experience in chronic low back pain, functional rehabilitation, and interdisciplinary care.
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Comfortable working independently within a smaller, team-oriented practice.
Position Details
- Schedule: 1 day per week to start (flexible scheduling available).
- Status: 1099 Independent Contractor.
- Compensation: Competitive per-visit or hourly rate.
- Start Date: Approximately 60 days post-contract, pending insurance credentialing.
- Setting: Outpatient pain management clinic.
Why Join Michigan Rehab Consultant, PC
- Opportunity to work directly with a physiatrist-led team that values your clinical input.
- A patient load that prioritizes quality of care over volume, with time for thorough evaluation and treatment.
- A small-practice atmosphere with room for professional growth and input into program development.
- Future potential to expand your role into home-based or telehealth rehabilitation services, depending on your interests.
- Administrative support for scheduling, credentialing, and EMR documentation so you can focus on patient care.
