- Schedule appointments in the EMR
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, utilizing multi-line phone systems to ensure effective communication.
- Verify patient insurance information and perform insurance verification to facilitate billing processes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers regarding care plans and medical information.
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient office management and operations within the clinic.
- Uphold patient confidentiality while managing sensitive health information.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, including familiarity with Medicare guidelines.
- Experience with EHR systems such as eClinical Works
- Previous clinic experience is highly valued, along with a background in medical office management.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective phone etiquette are essential for this role.
