Responsibilities*

Serve as a TRAC team member with the following specific responsibilities:

  • Work with the study coordinators to open studies within TRAC
  • Attend meetings with the Rogel Cancer Center administration
  • Attend meetings with the Informatics group for web platform development
  • Work with the Informatics team for web platform development
  • Write and edit as needed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for TRAC
  • Write and edit as needed user manuals for data analysis software used for TRAC purposes
  • Aid in maintaining IRB application for TRAC


Work As An Image Analyst With The Following Responsibilities

  • Analyze cross-sectional imaging using sophisticated software for multidimensional image analysis
  • Understand and utilize tumor response evaluation criteria, including but not limited to RECIST, irRECIST, Choi, WHO, Cheson/Lugano, PCWG, RANO, PERCIST, and customized versions of these established criteria
  • Review clinical trial protocol(s) for tumor measurement requirements as well as communicate with clinical trial staff to evaluate and ascertain requirements and protocol exceptions before/during/after the clinical trial site-initiation visit
  • Perform tumor measurements using CT, MR, PET, bone scans
  • Conduct all administrative functions on the TRAC website (including but not limited to adding/managing users, adding/managing studies, entering/uploading tumor measurements, and assessing data discrepancies)
  • Provide continued support from trial initiation to trial close to monitors, sponsors, clinical trials office (CTO) staff including data managers and administrative staff, and clinical staff including treating physicians, nurses, and clinic coordinators.
  • Coordinate and lead TRAC measurement review meetings with the appropriate radiologist(s) and/or nuclear medicine physician


Conduct collaborative and independent clinical research projects in medical oncology and/or radiology

  • Complete data collection, data review, or radiologic assessments for research projects
  • Attending local/regional and national/international conferences and preparing presentation materials for aforementioned conferences
  • Maintain and submit IRB applications for research projects


Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4-5 years of related experience in medical training, healthcare, radiology, and/or clinical research required
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on conveying highly technical material
  • Ability to effectively monitor project scope and timeline while building and managing the TRAC team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office


Desired Qualifications*

  • Professional/doctoral degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) highly preferred
  • Experience authoring or co-authoring publications and presenting findings at meetings and conferences
  • Understanding and utilization of tumor response evaluation criteria, including but not limited to RECIST, irRECIST, Choi, WHO, Cheson/Lugano, PCWG, RANO, PERCIST, and customized versions of these established criteria

Modes of Work

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
