Job Summary
The Department of Neurosurgery at Michigan Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained Neurosurgeon to join its nationally recognized academic neurosurgical practice. The successful candidate will actively participate in the clinical, educational, research, and service missions of the department and institution. Your primary clinical responsibilities will be based at Lieutenant Colonel Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor. Your 0.2 clinical effort at University of Michigan will be dedicated to patient care and clinical skill development at the UMH Academic Medical Center (AMC). Service at the AMC will occur approximately one day a week.

Candidates must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree, have successfully completed an accredited Neurological Surgery residency training program, and be American Board of Neurological Surgery certified or board eligible. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an unrestricted Michigan medical license and Federal DEA registration.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to academic neurosurgery through excellence in patient care, teaching, and scholarly activity. Evidence of successful clinical and didactic teaching is expected. Academic accomplishments, including peer-reviewed publications, research activity, and the potential to develop an independent scholarly portfolio, are highly desirable.
Faculty rank and academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
