MLC is partnering with a manufacturing company to offer English classes to employees at their production facilities just outside of Grand Rapids, MI. Classes take place on-site at the facilities during the employees’ work day. MLC is accepting resumes and applications for qualified, dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic ESL instructors who are interested in teaching these classes as well as growing with MLC.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare for and teach classes at a production facility in Lansing following a prescribed curriculum.
- Meet with a Director to consult on classes, students, and administrative duties throughout the session.
- Maintain attendance and grade records in each class and submit them at the end of each session.
- Create, administer, and grade assessments according to MLC Assessment Guidelines.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree and ESL certification or enrollment in a graduate degree program in TESOL, linguistics, or related field
- MA degree in TESOL or related field is a plus
- Adult ESL classroom experience
- Ability to work with people in various roles (instructors, students, administrators)
- Proficient in technology and knowledge of a variety of educational tools when teaching online
- Experience teaching online is a plus and could lead to other teaching opportunities
- A “no task is too small” attitude!
COMPENSATION: Compensation is competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
