Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair generator systems, including diesel engines and electrical components
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on generators and related equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, proper techniques to complete repairs
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed for parts or equipment replacement
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all work performed
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
- Adhere to safety protocols during all repair activities to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a generator technician or basic mechanic, preferably background
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, generator repair, and equipment repair
- Experience working with schematics and electrical systems
- Familiarity with generator repair, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
- Mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license preferred for travel between job sites
