Michigan Exterior Pros is growing, and we are looking for an experienced exterior construction professional who knows how to work on residential homes and takes pride in doing quality work.

This is not an appliance repair, equipment repair, or general handyman position. We are looking for someone with real-world experience repairing and installing roofing, siding, gutters, windows, doors, soffit, fascia, flashing, exterior trim, and related residential exterior components.

If you can look at an exterior problem, understand what caused it, determine the right repair, and complete the work correctly and professionally, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

You will work on residential homes throughout Lapeer County and surrounding areas, performing exterior repairs, replacements, and installations.

Your work may include:

* Roofing repairs and replacement

* Siding repair and installation

* Window installation and replacement

* Exterior door installation and replacement

* Gutter and downspout installation and repair

* Soffit and fascia repair and installation

* Exterior trim and flashing

* Water-damage-related exterior repairs

* Minor exterior carpentry necessary to properly complete repairs

* Measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing exterior materials

* Fabricating and installing custom metal

* Using a metal brake to bend aluminum and other sheet metal for custom flashing, fascia, trim, and other applications

* Identifying the cause of exterior problems rather than simply covering up the symptoms

* Inspecting completed work to ensure it is properly installed and watertight

* Communicating with homeowners about the work being performed

* Keeping job sites clean, organized, and professional

* Documenting completed repairs and reporting additional issues discovered while working

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is already skilled in residential exterior work.

You should be comfortable working independently and have hands-on experience with several of the following:

* Roofing

* Siding

* Gutters and downspouts

* Windows

* Exterior doors

* Soffit

* Fascia

* Exterior trim

* Flashing

* Residential exterior repairs

* Custom metal work

* Aluminum/sheet-metal bending

* Metal brake operation

* Exterior carpentry

Experience installing windows and doors and working with soffit, fascia, and custom-bent metal is especially important.

You should be able to take measurements, determine the materials needed, use the appropriate tools, and complete the job correctly without needing constant supervision.

* Has experience with ladders and working at heights

* Can safely use common construction hand and power tools

* Can communicate professionally with homeowners

* Shows up reliably and is prepared to work

* Keeps a clean and organized work area

* Understands that quality matters just as much as getting the job done

What You Must Be Able to Do

This position requires someone who can actually perform exterior construction work, not simply assist another technician.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of exterior repairs and installations, including the ability to:

Measure → diagnose → determine materials → perform the repair → properly finish the installation.

Experience with custom metal bending on a brake, soffit/fascia, siding, roofing, windows, doors, gutters, and flashing is highly valuable.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on construction position. You must be able to:

* Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

* Climb and work from ladders

* Work at heights

* Lift and carry construction materials

* Bend, kneel, climb, reach, and stand for extended periods

* Safely operate hand and power tools

* Perform physically demanding exterior construction tasks

Requirements

* Previous residential exterior construction or repair experience

* Valid driver’s license

* Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Lapeer County

* Ability to work independently

* Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members

* Strong attention to detail

* Commitment to safe, quality workmanship

* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
