Michigan Commercial Realty is seeking an experienced Property Manager to join our team and take a leading role in the day-to-day management of our residential rental portfolio.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys property management and is comfortable handling the many different responsibilities that come with managing residential rental properties. The Property Manager will work closely with tenants, contractors, vendors, leasing staff, office staff, and company leadership to ensure properties are well maintained and daily operations run smoothly.
The position will involve managing tenant relationships, coordinating maintenance and repairs, overseeing vendors, handling property inspections, assisting with leasing and tenant turnover, addressing property issues, and making sure important deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
Because our portfolio includes a significant amount of University of Michigan student housing, the position requires someone who understands—or is willing to learn—the unique demands of the Ann Arbor rental market, including student leasing cycles, move-in and move-out periods, turnover, maintenance coordination, and communication with student tenants and their families.
The Property Manager will be expected to take ownership of day-to-day property operations, identify problems before they become larger issues, follow through on outstanding tasks, and keep company leadership informed of important matters.
