Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Support:
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce reading concepts and lessons as directed by the classroom teacher or reading specialist.
- Utilize a variety of methods and teaching aids to present or reinforce reading concepts, such as phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary, using district-approved materials.
- Assist students who need additional help in understanding specific assignments and concepts.
- Follow and implement modifications and accommodations as specified in student support plans (e.g., IEPs or RTI plans)
Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
- Administer routine assessments under the teacher's supervision to help evaluate student performance and track progress.
- Monitor students' work and study habits, ensuring they understand and follow directions.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, observations, and intervention outcomes for the teacher and administrators.

Classroom Management and Organization:
- Assist the teacher with general classroom management, enforcing school rules and encouraging appropriate student behavior.
- Prepare and organize instructional materials and equipment for reading activities.
- Perform general clerical duties directly related to the instructional assignment, such as making copies, filing, and grading student work.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, or on field trips.
Collaborate and Communication:
- Collaborate regularly with the supervising teacher to coordinate instructional efforts and discuss student needs and progress.
- Communicate student information and concerns to the supervising teacher, ensuring confidentiality.
- May attend parent-teacher conferences or provide feedback to parents under the direction of the certified teacher.

Michigan Collegiate Middle School and High School make up the K-12 Public Charter School that was established in 1999. The Elementary building is located in Roseville, MI and the Middle School and High School building is located in Warren, MI.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
