A Successful Candidate Will
- Possess an appropriate Michigan Certification
- Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting
- Candidates should bring successful experience in teaching, coaching, intervention, school improvement, or MTSS leadership work
- A strong understanding of MTSS systems, data use, instructional practice, and adult coaching is essential.
- Master’s degree preferred
- Understands both the systems side and the classroom side of MTSS
- Can coach adults with clarity, credibility, and care
- Believes strong core instruction matters
- Knows how to use data without losing sight of people
- Can help teams move from conversation to action
- Wants to make a real difference for students and staff
- Oversee MTSS implementation across buildings, beginning with K through 8
- Coach teachers during core instruction and MTSS blocks
- Support stronger Tier 1 instruction and targeted intervention practices
- Lead R-TFI progress monitoring and follow through
- Use Early Warning System data to identify needs and guide support
- Help building teams improve instructional fidelity and student response
- Build coherence, consistency, and momentum across the district’s MTSS work
