Position Details
This position would entail working with elementary school children in the Fairview Area Schools for the 2023-2024 school year. The teacher would be working closely with administration, staff, students and their parents. The position also requires dealing with children as individuals and in small groups.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of BS/BA degree in Elementary Education
- Possess a valid Michigan teaching certificate
- Appropriate endorsements to meet highly qualified status
- Able to document and evaluate student achievement data
- Professional in personal conduct and action
- Excellent communication skills
Duties:
- Provide instruction to elementary school children
- Provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment
- Monitor and document student progress
- Work independently and collaboratively in the teaching mode
- Perform other duties as assigned by administrator
Desirable Characteristics:
- Experience working as Title I Teacher
- Empathy for students and those with special needs
- Experience working with young children or an Early Childhood Endorsement
