QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited teacher education program
- Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements for the assigned subject and/or grade level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned by principal):
- Based on certifications and district needs, the role may include teaching in varying certification areas/location.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that are in accordance with established procedures and facilitate active and engaged learning.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust educational strategies accordingly.
- Build a conceptual understanding while supporting students at a variety of ability levels. Collaborate with colleagues to define classroom success.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, students, and colleagues regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
- Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and attend professional development workshops and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
