The Gaylord Community Schools Board of Education is seeking a dynamic educational leader to become their next superintendent of schools. The current superintendent is retiring after 3 successful years with the district. The Board and superintendent have worked as an effective team to create a culture of accomplishments for students and the community which they wish to continue. Gaylord is known for four seasons of “All Outdoors” adventures – golfing, hiking, skiing, and snowmobiling. The Gaylord Golf Mecca has 17 finest courses, you can swim, kayak, and fish in our lakes and rivers, and don’t forget about our abundant snowfall which turns our community into a winter wonderland! We are easy to find on I-75 if you travel 45 minutes south of the Mackinac Bridge or 3 hours north of Detroit. Gaylord Community Schools educates nearly 3,000 students in five buildings: North Ohio Elementary School (K-3), South Maple Elementary School (K-3), Gaylord Intermediate School (4-6), Gaylord Middle School (7-8) and Gaylord High School (9-12).
