Position Details
Farwell Middle School seeks a highly qualified Middle School Math Teacher to provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction for students in grades 6–7. The ideal candidate will foster a growth mindset, promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and create a positive classroom culture that encourages student achievement and confidence in mathematics.
Essential Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver rigorous mathematics instruction aligned with Michigan Academic
- Develop engaging lessons that promote conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real- world application of mathematical concepts.
- Utilize data to drive instructional decisions and improve student
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of diverse
- Create and maintain a safe, positive, and structured classroom
- Regularly assess student learning and provide timely, constructive
- Integrate technology and instructional resources to enhance student
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding academic
- Collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide goals and continuous improvement
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school
- Perform other duties as assigned by school
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Secondary Education, or a related
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate secondary mathematics endorsement(s).
- Strong knowledge of mathematics content and instructional best
- Excellent classroom management and communication
- Commitment to student achievement and educational
Preferred
- Experience teaching middle school Knowledge of intervention strategies and data-driven
