Position Details
INDUSTRIAL ARTS/WOODWORKING TEACHER
DB-TC Schools is seeking a part-time CTE General Woodworking or Industrial Arts teacher.
Qualifications :
- Valid Industrial Arts (IX) Michigan Teaching Certificate or 60 satisfactory college/university credits and a strong interest in pursuing certification (requiring additional coursework) or qualification for ACA (Annual Career Authorization) permit, including 4,000 recent-year hours of documented, successful experience in a Woodworking position
- Strong knowledge of industrial arts/woodworking content
- Significant experience working with wood shop tools and equipment
- Successful experience/ability working with high school students
Responsibilities :
- Teach Industrial Arts to high school and middle school students for one class period per day (expected: 1:55-3:30).
- Maintain a safety-first classroom environment
- Encourage and guide students in the completion of individual projects
