- A valid Michigan teacher certificate with at least three (5) years of successful teaching experience
- Professional experience leading a large comprehensive high school
- A Master’s Degree or higher, preferably in school administration or educational leadership
- Michigan administrator certification
- Highly effective communication skills
- Strong relational skills with demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, & staff
- Demonstrated ability to lead and grow others
- Administers the total operation of the school and its personnel
- Supervises school improvement and staff development
- Directs, supervises, and evaluates the instructional program and instructional staff
- Plans staff, departmental and other special meetings
- Assists in the selection and procurement of teaching and nonteaching personnel
- Assists in planning and developing the school budget and supervises the expenditures from this budget and all fiscal
- Supervises the school community program and provides leadership to parent organization
- Recommends and administers guidelines for proper student conduct and maintaining student discipline
- Attends all regular Board of Education meetings, as requested
- Attends all Central Office staff meetings, as requested
- Serves on various District-wide committees as needed
- All other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education
