Position Details
Marine City 6-12 Campus is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Guidance Counselor. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social development. The Guidance Counselor will work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to create a positive school environment that fosters student success and well-being.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid State of Michigan School Counselor License and/or possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a secondary School Counselor (NT) endorsement
- Successful secondary school counseling experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff
- Knowledge of college and career readiness resources and programs
- Commitment to student advocacy and promoting a positive school environment
- Familiarity with mental health resources and crisis intervention strategies
