Staff/Senior Accountant (Accounting & Tax) 2+ Years

Responsibilities:

• Prepare business and individual income tax returns
• Perform month-end and year-end client writeups and generating a trial balance including monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyze financial statements and preparation of journal entries as needed to close the books for purposes of preparing tax returns
• Responding to tax authority inquiries, notices and tax related research
• Prepare / review payroll and sales tax returns
• Build & maintain relationships with clients

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

• Deadline and detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to correspond with clients and taxing authorities directly
• Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in accounting
• CPA license or active CPA candidate
• 2 years prior public accounting firm experience
• Experience with financial statement preparation (including compilation and review engagements)
• Audit experience a plus

Software Knowledge – Preferred but not mandatory

• Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• CCH Axcess Tax, Workflow, & Practice
• CCH Prosystem fx Engagement
• BNA Income Tax Planner
• QuickBooks
