Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing patient assessments to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and DBT tailored to client needs.
- Facilitate individual sessions for diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Implement specialized interventions for clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction issues, and other behavioral health conditions.
- Provide couples therapy utilizing the following frameworks : EFT, Gottman, Imago, IFS.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations; utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for efficient record keeping in a timely fashion.
Skills
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy.
- Strong experience working with teens, adults, and couples.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation; understanding of medical terminology and medical records management.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical coding systems such as CPT coding, ICD-9/10/ICD coding for accurate billing and record keeping.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, intake evaluations, diagnostic evaluations (including ICD coding), and case management activities.
- Experience in crisis management, trauma-informed care including PTSD care, addiction counseling, and social work practices within behavioral health settings.
