Position OverviewMichelle L. Kreeger, State Farm Agent, is seeking an experienced, relationship-focused Life & Financial Services Specialist to join our Harrisburg team.
This is a client-facing sales position focused on helping customers identify and address their life insurance, retirement, savings, and other financial needs using products and services available through our agency and for which the team member is appropriately licensed.
The ideal candidate enjoys having meaningful conversations with customers, uncovering needs, explaining options clearly, and developing long-term customer relationships. This individual will work closely with the agent and agency team to identify opportunities within our existing customer base while also developing new relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Meet with existing and prospective customers to identify life insurance and financial needs, priorities, and goals.
- Conduct needs-based conversations and help customers understand appropriate products and options available through the agency.
- Identify opportunities to help customers address life insurance, income protection, retirement, savings, and other financial needs.
- Present product information clearly and accurately within applicable licensing and compliance requirements.
- Conduct scheduled customer reviews and follow up on identified needs and opportunities.
- Develop new customer relationships through referrals, networking, community involvement, and agency outreach.
- Partner with the agency's Property & Casualty team to identify customers who may benefit from additional conversations regarding life and financial needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, appointments, follow-up activities, and opportunities.
- Consistently manage a pipeline of appointments, follow-ups, and prospective customers.
- Participate in agency sales meetings, training, and professional development.
- Follow all applicable State Farm, agency, regulatory, licensing, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in life insurance, financial services, banking, retirement products, insurance sales, or a related client-facing field.
- Experience conducting needs-based customer conversations and presenting financial or insurance products.
- Demonstrated success in relationship-based sales and customer development.
- Existing Pennsylvania insurance and/or applicable financial-services licenses are highly desirable. (Life insurance, health insurance, SIE, Series 6, and Series 67. Series 65 is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain all licenses required for the products and services associated with the position.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in understandable terms.
- Strong follow-through, organization, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable initiating conversations, asking for appointments, following up with prospects, and asking for the business.
- Self-motivated and accountable for individual activity and results.

- Commitment to conducting business ethically and within applicable licensing and compliance requirements.
