What You Will Do
As a Sales Intern, your responsibilities will vary based on business needs and team assignment. You will be empowered to contribute meaningfully to our organization through:
- Completing daily and weekly tasks such as data analysis, research, and project support.
- Managing short- or mid-term projects assigned by your acting manager.
- Participating in cross-functional teams or committees.
- Developing autonomy, professionalism, and core sales competencies.
- Learning the structure, responsibilities, and processes of the Sales organization.
- Supporting the North American Sales Team through various initiatives.
- Work alongside either B2B or B2C Sales Teams.
- Be coached by experienced Michelin Account Managers and Sr. Sales Directors.
- Engage directly with customers to develop tailored solutions.
- Contribute to smaller ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Gain a deep understanding of the business through collaboration with diverse teams (e.g., Category Management, BI, Training, Marketing, Supply).
- Participate in customer-facing activities to understand their business and Michelin’s value proposition.
- Present proposals to sales teams and customers based on identified opportunities.
- Lead conversations with selected customers to uncover growth potential.
- Develop and implement action plans to support customer engagement.
- Deliver a final presentation to Sales Leadership summarizing your project and impact.
- Professional communication skills with external partners, suppliers, customers, and internal colleagues.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams to achieve shared goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office® Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new software tools.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
