What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Micheli Contracting Corp.?
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. You will be responsible for operating a variety of excavation and construction equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, and wheel-loaders. We are a small construction business that works on a variety of private and public-sector projects.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and wheel-loaders
- Inspect trucks before and after use
- Observe and report and issues with the equipment
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience- At least 3 years with operating heavy equipment in a construction setting.
- Operational knowledge of various types of construction equipment.
- Ability to work within a 25-mile radius of Albany, NY
- Strong work ethic
- Completion of OSHA 10-hour safety course
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- CDL-A is a plus
Pay is based on experience and qualifications.
